Many of the best young riders from the Robert Price Welsh Talent Team and the British Cycling Talent Team got together in one of the biggest gatherings of young riders seen so far in the Talent Team training camps. With well known track riders Tim Buckle and James Taylor helped out by a group of other trained coaches, the girls and boys took to the track over the two days, learning about riding the boards that only a few weeks before saw a number of World Champions racing on them. BBC Welsh Sports Personality of the Year and Womens World Cup Road Champion Nicole Cooke was also on hand to answer questions from the would be World Champions. Seeing the set up for the first time, it was certainly impressive to see how well the young riders were being looked after, taught new skills and as well as tested using the best equipment such as SRM power metres. All the building blocks were being put in place and in a few years, who knows, if the hunger to be the best in the world from these talented youngsters is there like it is with our current crop of World beaters, we may well be seeing the great success of the Great Britain team contining for many years to come. Coming soon on the British Cycling website will be yet another article giving everyone an insight into the British Cycling Talent Team's search for future champions but to give everyone an insight to a few hours of the training camp, here is a photo gallery of a session on the Saturday.
